Female and Male Identifying Dancer of Color

Caroline Calouche & Co. is seeking a male and female-identifying dancer of color for featured performance opportunities in our upcoming creation The Three Spirits and our touring family production Star Gazer.

For Star Gazer we are also looking for a male dancer who has strong hip-hop or breakdancing skills along with contemporary dance and floor partnering (or willingness to learn floor partnering).

We are looking for a dynamic and expressive artist with strong technical and performance abilities who thrives in a collaborative creative environment. The selected performer will work closely with Artistic Director Caroline Calouche and company members throughout the creation, rehearsal, and performance process.

Qualifications

• Strong contemporary dance technique
• Strong jazz dance technique
• Excellent musicality and stage presence
• Ability to learn and retain choreography quickly
• Comfortable with theatrical storytelling and character-driven movement
• Strong work ethic and professionalism
• Ability to work collaboratively within an ensemble
